Travelling with the Lens to England

Describing London it’s just too difficult. Only by visiting England’s capital city you might be able to understand how cool it is. Is the place where modern and traditional blend perfectlly together.

I found this phrase which I think pretty much describes what I think of it: “Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.” ― Samuel Johnson, The Life of Samuel Johnson LL.D. Vol 3

These is my collection of shots from London 2014/15/16 plus a Bonus Track of some Oxford pictures. Enjoy!

Travelling with the lens to Turkey

I love Turkey.  It’s on my ‘Countries that Have It All’ List: History, natural wonders, lovely people. Unfortunately I only had the chance to visit two cities, but I would definitely travel again to keep on exploring this amazing country.

Boasting more than 12 million official residents, Istanbul is like no other city in Turkey. Being the only city in the world that spans two different continents, it is huge. I love Istanbul and can easily admit to a major addiction for this characteristic destination. You cannot help but be engulfed in the cultural history and significance. Is one of the most romantic, fun and breath taking cities in the world. Culture, nightlife, architecture and Bazaars!

Capadoccia is unlike anything you have ever seen and ever will. It is simply stunning. Hot air balloons, open air museum, caves, underground cities.

The only way to understand what I’m saying is buying a ticket to Turkey, but I hope this selection of photos helps to show a little bit of the Turkish beauty.

Splashes of Colour by Patrick Donald

Born in Rathgar, Dublin Patrick Donald has been photographing since 1996. What first started out as a hobbie has developed into a successful business and a full time passion and drive to make more work. In 2010 he opened his first photography gallery which is now situated on Dawson Street in Dublin which showcases many of his 500 plus images of Ireland. He has also travelled to Mongolia, Cuba, as well as several other interesting places around the world.

“Photography is a journey that has been a large part of my life for many years now. It helps to make life more meaningful to me and others hopefully”

Splashes of Colour is only one of his portfolios (my favorite!), but you can find much more spectacular pictures in his webpage: http://www.patrickdonald.com
